The difference between Case Studies and Testimonials is really length and depth.

Case Studies are longer form stories of the work you did and the results you helped your client get.

They contain quotes from your client, but the focus in more on telling the story of how you worked together.

Testimonials are short statements of appreciation of your service and the results you have helped your client achieve.

They are typically positive recommendations with little in the way of detail about how you delivered your product or service.

Testimonials can be easily derived from the more comprehensive Case Study so you end up with fabulous quotes from your customers that you can use liberally in your marketing messaging.

Case Studies are best when your business provides a service which is complex, high-ticket and which takes a period of time. This way you can dive into the challenges and the results you have helped your customer achieve.
