One IT company I spoke to had lost a big contract because on the day of the final pitch they got nervous and thought they had to present themselves as more ‘corporate’ – something they definitely weren’t.

In fact their prospect had put them through to the final selection process because they liked how natural and non-corporate they were.

But when nerves set in, and without any customer Case Studies to prove their value, they blew the opportunity by trying to be something other than they were.
